The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, independent India’s first Education Minister. Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs pertaining to India’s external cultural relations; to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries; to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people; and to develop relations with nations. |

Indian Council for Cultural Relations Scholarship Schemes
General Scholarship Scheme - ICCR
The GSS is one of the important scholarship schemes of ICCR for Foreign Students which is awarded at the level of undergraduate/postgraduate levels and for pursuing research to foreign students belonging to Asian and Latin American Countries.
Bangladesh Scholarship Scheme - ICCR
Being neighboring country India has taken initiative for the upliftment of Bangladeshi and to make strong cultural and academic relations, the Govt. of India introduced the following schemes:

All entries (except the signature) in the application should be filled in correctly.
Application should be complete in all respects, with all the required information and all necessary supporting documents, as listed below:
A recent passport size photograph not more than 3.5x4.5cm (25kb) should be uploaded on the application form in the space provided.The photograph should be with white background and without spectacles.
Copies of all academic qualifications, certificates and marksheet, including those relating to school leaving examination must be uploaded.
A certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed form.

Is it required that a proficiency level in English is mandatory for studying in Indian Universities
